You Can Do It
2 Kings 5:13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
Between running out of gas way too many times and trying to get out of a stuck predicament with snow or ice, I’ve had more than my share of opportunities to push at my car to get it to move. Whenever this happens I’m always greatly impressed with how much easier it is to just climb behind the wheel and gently push on the accelerator. No matter how heavy or otherwise immovable a vehicle may be, a means has been provided for me to use something that is very easy and doable for me to accomplish what I might not otherwise ever get done with my greatest exerted effort.
There are mountains, giants, storms, oceans, and many more things that are way beyond our own power to move or resolve. For everything, though, that is too big for us, God has designed an accelerator, or some other means for us to apply an effort totally within our means that will be used by Him to accomplish the impossible. David just slung a stone, Moses just struck the water with his staff, and Gideon just broke some pots. They were all given something undoubtedly within their ability to activate a power way beyond theirs. It looked too big, but all that was required was something they could very well do. Got something? You can do whatever it takes for God’s power to be activated and the mountain moved, the giant killed, the storm calmed, and the victory won.

So good once again. After 6 hours of teaching I needed to hear something other than myself. Thanks!
