He's Made It Psa 118:24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Jesus referred to the children when choosing an example of relationship with the Father in His kingdom. I remember going on these big trips as a child with five of us kids, Mom and Dad, all scrunched in the car. Somehow we survived without video games or movies or any of the entertainment tools that seem to make present day treks possible. I remember we went to Arizona one summer and then, another time we went through Yellowstone and Glazier National Parks on the way up to the Northwest. Our biggest trip, though, was one summer that we went all the way to Miami Beach for a big meeting of our church organization. Some things that were common about each of these trips were: they were talked about ahead of time, plans were made to determine the path and means by which we would proceed, the necessary resources were gathered and prepared, and then, the whole trip was executed according to the plan, with a few options along the way. There was one other thing about each one of these incredibly memorable and cherished trips. I had nothing to do with any of these things of which I've listed. I didn't talk about it ahead of time, I didn't plan any of the routes, I didn't prepare even my own necessities. I just went along with what had been designed and prepared and executed by my parents. I just enjoyed to the fullest everything that they went to such great effort to make possible, without having to carry any of the responsibility or risk. I just got to be glad in the trip that they had made. There is a part that we need to play in fulfilling our purpose in the kingdom, but this journey that we're taking here on earth is one that has already been talked about by our Father. He has already prepared and provided for all the necessities along the way. The route and all the wonderful sites along the way have been designed for our enjoyment and fulfillment. Our pleasure and gladness will be its greatest, though, when we just go along with what He has already expended great effort to prepare. We don't really have to concern ourselves with any of the details for which our Father has already made provision. He's made it. Our part is to just enjoy it– be glad. 3/27/06
